Report: How Mourinho could cash in on Kane to purchase six new first-team players

Kane’s future has been subject to a lot of speculation over recent weeks with the England captain said to be at the top of Manchester United’s wish list in the summer (Evening Standard).

Juventus are also said to be keen on signing the 26-year-old as they want him to partner Cristiano Ronaldo up front (Tuttosport).

However, a recent report in the Daily Star indicated that last season’s Champions League finalists are confident that they can hold onto Kane as they don’t believe any club can afford the striker in the summer.

talkSPORT now claims that the Spurs head coach could, in theory, cash in on his star striker in order to fund a massive rebuild in the summer.

The report suggests that Spurs could use the money from Kane’s sale to bring in the likes of Geoffrey Kondogbia, Marcel Sabitzer, Youcef Atal, Jamal Lewis, and Eder Militao.

Spurs Web Opinion

I personally don’t think there is any chance that we would sell Kane this summer given that he has four more years to run on his deal. However, I fear that the economic downturn caused by the coronavirus outbreak has seriously diminished our ability to spend big this summer.

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. My comment on selling kane is that mourinho would be making a big mistake he is Tottenham through and through we need kane don’t be selling on to teams just so we can get a better striker kane is the best striker we have he is Tottenham Till He Dies if he goes I can see the team falling.

  2. If kane wants to leave for more money or to win trophys u can’t blame him.For the last 2 windows we have needed a full back and extra striker,we spend money on midfielders and a winger(no disrepect to the players)but they should not have been our priority. If we got 150m for kane we could get haaland for 100m,eze from Q.P.R for 20m,30m for a decent full back, with out even touching our own transfer budget.I love kane but if he wants to leave i can see why.
