Report: How Mourinho will start taking Spurs training sessions again from Monday

Earlier this month, it was revealed that the Premier League would be suspended until April 30 at the very earliest due to the spread of COIVID-19 (Express).

Alasdair Gold from Football London then tweeted to confirm that Tottenham would be ending their first-team training sessions as a result of the suspension. The players would be asked to follow fitness regimes from their homes instead.

Since then, a nationwide lockdown has been issued by Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, meaning that people across the UK must stay inside their homes. Only essential travel, essential shopping, and one walk/run per day is permitted (Guardian).

Despite the fact that Tottenham’s stars are all staying safe within their own homes, Jose Mourinho is still planning on resuming training sessions from Monday.

Football London report that the Special One will be using video links to connect groups of Spurs players in order to train as a team.

The report adds that the players have already been regularly contacted by Mourinho and each one has been assigned a medical/sport science contact to oversee their fitness.
