Report: How much Atletico Madrid want for Spurs-linked Yannick Carrasco

Media Foot have revealed that Paris Saint-Germain have been offered the chance to sign rumoured Tottenham target Yannick Carrasco.

Antonio Conte is thought to be prioritising strengthening at right wing-back in January, with Sporting Lisbon’s Pedro Porro (The Athletic) and Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries (TuttoSport) said to be on the North London club’s radar.

Carrasco is another player who has been mooted as a potential target for Spurs. The print edition of Marca (17/12/22 as relayed by Sport Witness) claimed earlier this month that the wing-back will consider moving to the Lilywhites if the Premier League club reignite their interest in him.

The report stated that Spurs made an approach for the Belgian international in the summer but he said ‘no’ since he wanted to remain at the Metropolitano Stadium.

Media Foot have now explained that PSG are looking for relatively low-cost options in January and Carrasco has been put to them as an option.

The report explains that super-agent Pini Zahavi, who has close ties with the Ligue 1 club, has offered them the chance to sign the Atletico star next month.

The French publication adds that while the Colchoneros value Carrasco at around €40m (£35.3m), they would open to accepting an initial loan offer for the 29-year-old.

Spurs Web Opinion

Carrasco has been extremely poor this season for Atletico and I do not think he would be an upgrade on our options at either left wing-back or right wing-back. So, I hope Spurs steer well clear of the Belgian and pursue a more exciting talent like Pedro Porro.
