Report: How much Daniel Levy spends on player wages compared to other big six clubs

Tottenham Hotspur fans were once again left disappointed on Sunday when their team’s quest to end their thirteen year wait for a piece of competitive silverware came up short.

The North Londoners were second best in every department against Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley, with former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher particularly critical of the effort shown by the Spurs players during his appearance on Sky Sports‘ Monday Night Football.

The gulf between the two sides off the pitch is also astonishing when it comes to wages, with Tottenham being the lowest spenders of all of the Premier League ‘big six’ when paying the salary of their players.

The Sun reveal that Manchester City pay a staggering £351million per year while Daniel Levy spent £181million on salary during the 2019/20 season.

Liverpool have overtaken rivals Manchester United in second place with a £325million outlay compared to £284million by Ole Gunnar Solskajer’s side while Chelsea and Arsenal spent £283million and £225million respectively.

Harry Kane is reported to be Tottenham’s top earner at £200,000-a-week (iNews) while City’s Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling took home at least £300,00-a-week.
