CalciomercatoWeb.it have revealed that Real Madrid could make a move for Inter Milan centre-back Alessandro Bastoni, who is thought to be on Tottenham’s wishlist, and could come with a £53.1m price tag.
Spurs are expected to sign a left-sided centre-back during the summer transfer window, with reports over recent weeks indicating that Bastoni is one of the players on the North London club’s radar (Q&A for Football.London).
The 23-year-old’s current contract at the San Siro has 16 months left to run but it emerged a few days ago that Inter had opened talks with the centre-back’s entourage regarding a new deal (Fabrizio Romano).
If CMW.it’s latest update is to be believed, Spurs might not find a deal for Bastoni to be straightforward, even if he does not sign a new deal, as Real Madrid could enter the race for the defender.
The publication states that Los Blancos have identified the Italy international as a potential replacement for David Alaba if the Austrian leaves the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer.
It is asserted that the Nerazurri could demand a fee of €60m (£53.1m) for Bastoni in the summer.

Spurs Web Opinion
Tottenham would probably be happy to pay £50m for Bastoni in the summer but his price is likely to shoot up even higher (potentially close to Gvardiol levels) if he signs a new contract with Inter.
The competition with Real Madrid might make things more complicated but I am convinced that the 23-year-old would be Spurs’ top target for the left centre-back role if he does not sign a new deal.
