Several reports from French, as well as British press, indicate that Spurs are close to sealing a deal worth about £62m for Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.
Standard Sport have now revealed that the 22-year-old will sign a five-year contract with Tottenham, that will make him one of the club’s highest earners.
The French international is currently thought to be earning between £50,000-60,000 a week at Lyon but the report suggests that figure will go up considerably when he signs for Spurs.
Harry Kane is the club’s top earner on about £200,000 a week while Dele Alli and Son Heung-Min are £150,000 and £140,000 a week respectively. The Lyon midfielder will reportedly earn a similar wage if he is to agree to move to Spurs.
The report further claims that the midfielder was initially in two minds over choosing Tottenham but eventually became convinced that he can fulfil his ambitions in North London.

If Spurs can get this deal over the line, then it will be a serious statement of intent from the club as it will show that they can compete for the best players in Europe. We believe Ndombele will improve our midfield tremendously and will be a fantastic signing for the club.
