Report: How much Radu Dragusin is likely to earn if he joins Spurs

Genoa defender Radu Dragusin appears to be on the brink of joining Tottenham Hotspur this month, and a new report has revealed the Romanian centre-half is likely to be given a similar salary to that of Guglielmo Vicario.

For the past month now, it has become apparent that Spurs are keen to add a new central defender to their ranks, with Radu Dragusin‘s name mooted as one of many options on the North London club’s radar (Telegraph).

With the January transfer window now open, and Spurs still feeling the absence of both Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero, Dragusin’s apparent availability for a swift transfer has seen him become the top target.

Fabrizio Romano has covered every aspect of this transfer so far, revealing Spurs had submitted a verbal bid, and that the player himself was happy to agree personal terms for the move. Apparently, we can expect the deal to be confirmed ‘very soon’, according to Romano.

How much will Spurs pay Radu Dragusin?

Discussing the matter with Kick, Romano also revealed details of the finances behind the deal, and what kind of wage Dragusin can expect to be paid if he joins.

He said: “Tottenham have an agreement with the player, they have agreed personal terms with Dragusin, it will be a long-term contract and the salary will be similar to the one for Guglielmo Vicario but Tottenham and Genoa are locked in negotiations.

“They received a verbal proposal from Tottenham, not an official proposal at around €22-23m but Genoa are starting at €35m but would close the deal at €30m.”

Guglielmo Vicario is currently paid £75,000 per week at Spurs, as per Spotrac data.

No wonder Dragusin is keen to agree personal terms with Spurs. That is a pretty high wage for a 21-year-old, putting him above Micky van de Ven in terms of salary. But, if it gets the deal done, so be it.
