Report: How much Spurs have offered Heung-min Son in wages to sign new contract

Football Insider have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur have already offered a £200,000 per week contract to their South Korean star, Heung-min Son this month.

It is said that the winger has also been offered performance-related bonuses as a part of the new contract offer in order to give him parity with the club’s top earners.

Football Insider claim that the deal in its entirety would set Tottenham back around £60 million in total.

Son’s current deal is set to expire in 2023 although the new deal would see him sign a fresh five-year contract, committing his long-term future to the Lilywhites.

This comes just one week after the same publication reported that Spurs were progressing well with the deal and expected a new contract to be signed by the end of the year.

Spurs head coach, Jose Mourinho also revealed in a press conference this week that he would love Son to sign a new contract, hinting that it could happen soon (Standard).
