Report: How much Spurs would have to bid for Anthony Gordon to test Everton’s resolve

Tottenham’s pursuit of Everton duo Richarlison and Anthony Gordon could set them back as much as £85 million, according to GOAL.

Spurs are looking to add to their already completed summer transfer business, which comes in the form of Yves Bissouma, Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster.

Sky Sports report Spurs are considering a double deal to acquire Everton’s Richarlison alongside teammate Gordon, with the Toffees thought to be braced to receive an offer as early as this week.

But a move to sign the Goodison Park-based pair could come at a big premium for Spurs, who are gearing up for their first full season under Antonio Conte’s guidance.

GOAL claim Tottenham could be forced to part ways with as much as £85 million for both players with Richarlison expected to make up the bulk of the figure.

It is claimed those at Everton value the Brazilian at more than £60 million after he scored 10 goals to help keep the club in the Premier League last season (Transfermarkt).

Meanwhile, Everton’s resolve would reportedly be tested by a bid of £25m or more for home-grown talent Gordon, after he enjoyed a strong breakthrough campaign last time out.

However, the report goes on to explain that the academy graduate has little intention to leave the club, although both Conte and Fabio Paratici are admirers of the young winger’s versatility.

Both players would be able to add something different at Spurs and their versatility is likely why the club has taken such a keen interest in them.

£85 million is a pretty eye-watering fee, although the current market means players like Richarlison will be valued highly quite highly.
