For any club chasing Morgan Gibbs-White this summer, like Tottenham for instance, it is thought £40m will be the price they have to pay to prise him away from Nottingham Forest.

It has been another decent season for Gibbs-White who, despite Forest’s struggles in the Premier League, still managed to bag six goals and ten assists across all competitions this term.
As the beating heart of the Forest team, it’s not surprising that Gibbs-White has attracted attention from other, bigger clubs in the division, including Spurs.
Tottenham are expected to face competition from Newcastle United, though, who are also keen on signing the playmaker this summer (HITC).
Either way, it is believed Forest are keen to sell players early this summer, as they continue to battle against Profitability and Sustainability Rules (iNews).

Morgan Gibbs-White would cost Tottenham £40m
Now, it appears a price tag has been placed on Gibbs-White ahead of the summer window, and it’s a very affordable valuation, too.
That’s according to Pete O’Rourke at Football Insider, who states Forest regard £40m as a “reasonable” price for the midfielder.
Forest are thought to be “on the brink” of breaching the PSR limits as it stands, and will be looking to “make sales to raise funds” for their own transfer ambitions this summer.
O’Rourke suggests Gibbs-White has “enhanced his reputation” after impressing this season, and as such Forest will want at least the £40m offer to let him go.
Spurs Web Opinion
Gibbs-White is a great player and I do think he would do really well at Spurs. He could be our replacement for Lo Celso this summer, plus he’s homegrown which helps, too. It just depends how much the club is willing to spend, as we also need a new striker, and maybe Eberechi Eze, and a holding midfielder, and I can’t see us affording all of that and Gibbs-White.
