According to the print edition of Corriere dello Sport (as relayed by Sport Witness), Lazio would need to spend a significant fee to take Bryan Gil away from Tottenham Hotspur before tonight’s 11 pm transfer deadline.
With just hours left to go until the window slams shut, the door has still not been closed on the possibility of Gil exiting Hotspur Way.
Corriere now say in their latest update that even though many clubs have knocked on Spurs’ door to express interest in the winger’s services, the Lilywhites are ‘yet to make a move’ regarding the player.

Tottenham want £17m to sell Bryan Gil
It is alleged that the Premier League side would be open to a permanent sale but value the Spain international at €20m (£17m).
The outlet says that if Gil does leave on loan, he is ‘leaning towards’ remaining in the Premier League and is attracted by the idea of joining Brighton on a temporary deal. This is because the former Sevilla man wants to prove himself in English football.
The publication adds that if Lazio do want to sign the winger, the feeling is that they would need to include an obligation to buy in any loan deal.

I would love to see Gil being loaned out to an English side. The 22-year-old needs a run of matches in the Premier League to showcase that he can handle the physicality and intensity of the division.
It would be in Tottenham’s interest to give the youngster the chance to prove himself in another Premier League side before they make the decision to cut their losses on him.
