Report: How Radu Dragusin’s agent could hand Spurs a potential boost in pursuit of attacker

In what comes as a potential boost to Tottenham in their rumoured pursuit of Albert Gudmundsson, Radu Dragusin’s agent, Florian Manea, has suggested that he might soon collaborate with the Iceland international to sort out his future.

Over the past few weeks, several Italian outlets have backed Spurs to raid Genoa again in the summer, this time for Gudmundsson, who is having a stellar season at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium.

The 26-year-old, who primarily operates as a number ten but can also play out wide, has 11 goals and three assists across all competitions so far, with  CallcioMercato suggesting last week Tottenham are leading the race for his signature.

A couple of days ago, CM.it suggested that Spurs can outmuscle the likes of Napoli and Fiorentina for the attacker as the North London club would be willing to spend more than €30m (£25.5m) on the player next summer.

Tottenham may have an advantage in Gudmundsson race

Manea, who worked with Tottenham to push through Dragusin’s move from Genoa to the Premier League side last month, has now revealed that he is prepared to collaborate with Gudmundsson.

He is quoted as saying to ProSport (as relayed by Sport Witness): “Gudmundsson told me that he would like to collaborate, that he was envious of my relationship with Dragusin. I told him to relax, that we are already collaborating since he is with Valerio and Gabriele.”

According to the report, Manea is referring to Gabriele and Valerio Giuffrida, the agents who helped facilitate Dragusin’s switch to Tottenham.

Tottenham’s relationship with these agents as well as the one they built with Genoa should give them an advantage over other suitors in the race for Gudmundsson should the Lilywhites decide to push ahead with a move for the 26-year-old next summer.
