Football Insider have revealed that despite attracting interest from Saudi Arabia, Richarlison has no intention of leaving Tottenham Hotspur in January.
Spurs fans would have been hoping to see Richarlison step up and make the number nine role his own after Harry Kane’s departure, particularly given the impressive form the Brazilian showed during pre-season.
However, things have not clicked for the 26-year-old in front of goal and some reports over the last couple of weeks have indicated that Tottenham might be open to selling the forward (Alex Crook –talkSPORT, 14/11 8:15 am).
The Telegraph even claimed last week that the former Everton man is set to be targeted by Saudi Pro League clubs in January.
Richarlison wants to stay at Tottenham this season
Football Insider have now also backed up the claim that Richarlison is a top target for Saudi clubs in January. However, they state that Tottenham are not considering selling their number nine while the player himself is keen to stay.
The outlet reveals that they have heard from a source within the North London club that Richarlison remains driven to succeed at Spurs and would not consider a move to the Middle East until later in his career.
So, the publication asserts that the Tottenham man is expected to turn down big-money packages from the Saudi Pro League in January.
Spurs Web Opinion
I do not see Postecoglou wanting to offload Richarlison in January. I think the Australian will give the Brazilian the rest of the season to prove his worth and will make a decision on the centre-forward role next summer.
