Report claims Spurs may have to rely on Lionel Messi to keep Harry Kane

The Express have reported that both Manchester United and Manchester City are admirers of Tottenham’s Harry Kane ahead of the summer transfer window.

However, OK Diario warn that it may be PSG who make a move for the Spurs striker, with former N17 boss Mauricio Pochettino now at the helm.

The report claims that, should Kylian Mbappe leave the Paris-based club this summer, then PSG will make a move for Barcelona’s Lionel Messi. However, if Messi decides to stay at Barca or move somewhere else, then PSG will come knocking for Kane instead.

It is also reported that Cristiano Ronaldo would be PSG’s third choice should Kane not join.

Therefore, Spurs may be hoping that either Mbappe stays put in Paris or Lionel Messi makes the move in order to take Kane off the table, a point also made by the Express.

When asked about his future this week, Harry Kane remained coy and replied that he was currently focused only on England and finishing the season with Tottenham.
