Report: How Spurs compare to Premier League rivals in all-time wins list

The Premier League entered its 30th season this year since forming in 1992, and there has already been a change to the tier’s all-time wins list.

This change has not exactly favoured Tottenham though, after rivals Arsenal registered a new milestone with 600 top-flight victories thanks to their North London Derby triumph a fortnight ago.

The tally places the Gunners with the third most wins in Premier League history, slightly behind London rivals Chelsea (602), and Manchester United’s league-leading 691 victories.

In terms of the white half of North London, Spurs currently stand on 484 top-flight victories which is the fifth highest in the division, but Tottenham are a long way from fourth-placed Liverpool’s tally of 585.

Spurs now boast a relatively slender lead over Manchester City, whose five Premier League titles in the last 10 years has propelled them into sixth position with 448 wins.

As for the most talked-about club of the moment, Newcastle United occupy eighth position with 369 wins and sit a fair distance behind Everton (411).

The Magpies have recently been the subject of a £300 million takeover deal from Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund – a move that could thrust the club up the table in due course.

Spurs will have some catching up to do to get close to the top four, both in the league and the all-time wins list. They are also having to look over their shoulders, with Manchester City looking all the more likely to overtake them in the coming seasons.
