Report: ‘Hugely significant’ update on Spurs’ Harry Kane talks with Bayern on Monday

Bayern Munich are now hoping to meet with Daniel Levy to talk about Harry Kane on Monday as they continue their push to sign the England captain (Telegraph).

Bayern chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen and technical director Marco Neppe will fly to London for talks with Levy at the start of next week, after the meeting was pushed back.

Meeting with Levy is a big step for Bayern Munich

The report claims that it is seen as a ‘hugely significant’ step in Germany that Levy is even willing to meet with the Bayern hierarchy. In fact, the expectation remains over in the Bundesliga that Kane will join the reigning champions.

Bayern are said to be willing to pay up to £86m to get their top summer target, even though PSG are willing to go above that fee. Unfortunately, Kane has no interest in joining the French giants at this moment in time.

Dreesen met Levy for talks two weeks ago, but the fresh round of negotiations could be key in deciding whether Kane leaves this summer or remains until at least the January window.

The Telegraph reiterate that some believe Bayern might agree to a buy-back clause to help the deal go through this summer.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I would imagine that Levy will ask for £100m during the meeting, Bayern will offer around £80m and they will end up meeting in the middle with add-ons in a couple of weeks. Whatever the case, Spurs look to be heading into the new campaign in an uncertain position.
