Report: Identity of the ex-Spurs striker attacked by masked robbers with machetes revealed

The identity of the ex-Tottenham Hotspur striker who was attacked by masked intruders in his own home back in May has been revealed by the Daily Mail.

The Evening Standard first reported the incident yesterday, stating that an unnamed ex-Spurs player had been the victim of a robbery and physical abuse.

Reportedly, six masked men broke into the player’s house in North London, which he shares with his wife, in order to steal a selection of watches.

They broke into the £4m Cricklewood house at 1 am and were armed with knives and machetes, with one neighbour claiming that the player was even punched in the face.

The identity has now been revealed as Ronny Rosenthal, who played up front for the Lilywhites for three years between 1994 and 1997.

Rosenthal played 88 games in a Spurs shirt before moving to Watford in 1997, but he still lives in the North London area (Wikipedia).

Our best wishes are with Ronny after this terrible ordeal.
