Report: In-form Spurs star nowhere to be seen during pre-Bayern Munich training session

Tottenham Hotspur round off their Champions League Group B campaign tomorrow evening with a match against table toppers Bayern Munich.

Spurs will be looking to put in a better display than the one in the return fixture in North London earlier this season when they were humiliated 7-2 by the German giants.

The Spurs players were back on the training field at Hotspur Way this morning by Jose Mourinho’s backroom staff prior to flying to Munich later this afternoon.

UEFA protocol allows the media to watch a portion of a club’s training session the day prior to a Champions League fixture and the press pack were once again in attendance.

Football.London report that Dele Alli was nowhere to be seen during the on-field activities with the rest of the squad which saw the likes of Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen, Danny Rose, Jan Vertonghen, Tanguy Ndombele and Heung-min Son all take part.

Dele has been in magnificent form under Mourinho, and was replaced during the last five minutes of Saturday’s 5-0 win against Burnley by Premier League debutant Troy Parrott.

The report suggests that Mourinho may have decided to give the England international a rest.
