Report: Inter looking for a player swap deal involving Ndombele

It was reported last week that Tottenham had begun talks with Inter Milan over the sale of Tanguy Ndombele (Guardian).

Calcio Mercato reported that Antonio Conte had identified the Spurs star as the man to bolster his midfield option ahead of a title charge next season.

The Guardian claimed last Thursday that Spurs could sell the 23-year-old to Inter for around €50million (£45million) this summer with the possibility of a swap deal involving Milan Skriniar or Ivan Perisic having also been suggested as a possibility.

Sky Sports Italia (as relayed by Sempre Inter) have now claimed that Spurs are demanding as much as €60million (£54million) for the Frenchman’s signature.

Inter are reportedly not ready to pay the asking price for Ndombele and are said to be negotiating a swap deal involving Skriniar.

It is revealed that Jose Mourinho is a big fan of the central defender and would like to add him to his squad.

However, the report suggests that there is still a long way to go before any potential agreement can be reached.

Spurs Web Opinion

It looks like Inter are one of the few clubs around Europe who have money to throw around this summer. Antonio Conte seems to be putting pressure on the board to back him and it looks like they are prepared to invest considerably into the squad.

Seeing as we do need a central defender this summer, I believe a Skriniar plus cash deal for Ndombele could be a good deal for all parties. However, it remains to be seen if the two clubs can agree on the players’ valuations.
