Report: Inter Milan evaluating potential replacements for Lautaro Martinez

TuttoMercatoWeb have reported that Inter Milan are evaluating possible replacements for star striker Lautaro Martinez amidst links to Tottenham.

The Times reported earlier in the week Spurs had agreed a fee with the Serie A club worth over £60m for the transfer of Martinez this summer.

However, Fabrizio Romano later reported that Inter Milan maintained the striker is not for sale despite confirming Tottenham’s interest.

According to Football Insider, Martinez himself has made it clear to Inter that he wants to make the move to North London this summer.

Now TuttoMercatoWeb claim Inter Milan cannot rule out selling both Martinez and Romelu Lukaku this window, hence why they are looking for replacements. Eden Dzeko is expected to sign for Inter as Lukaku’s replacement.

Inter are said to be considering Ciro Immobile as their main target to replace Martinez, with Duvan Zapata and Joaquin Correa also targets.

Spurs Web Opinion:

This feels like a rumour that will rumble on and on until the final day of the window. Spurs definitely need a new striker of some sort, but funds could depend on whether Kane stays or leaves. I would prefer Tottenham to go for Vlahovic now rather than the possibility of Martinez later.
