Report: Inter Milan have been informed of Spurs interest in £33m-rated star

According to the print edition of Tuttosport (21/04/22 as relayed by Sport Witness), Tottenham Hotspur have expressed an interest in Inter Milan right-back Denzel Dumfries.

It was previously reported that Spurs are expected to be in the market for a right wing-back this summer, with Antonio Conte not thought to be convinced by Emerson Royal (The Sun).

Dumfries is one of the names allegedly on the North London club’s radar, if TuttoSport’s latest update is to be believed.

The Netherlands international arrived at the San Siro from PSV Eindhoven last summer as a replacement for Achraf Hakimi and the 26-year-old has enjoyed an impressive campaign, with four goals and seven assists to his name across all competitions (Transfermarkt).

Tuttosport claim that Dumfries’ performances have attracted the attention of both Spurs and Bayern Munich.

It is explained that Inter have ‘already been informed of a potential interest’ from Tottenham’s managing director of football Fabio Paratici.

The report claims that while the Nerrazuri would prefer to hold on to Dumfries, they would be willing to sell him if an offer of €35-€40m (£29.2m-£33.3m) arrives.

Spurs Web Opinion

I would prefer Stephane Singo to Dumfries for the right wing-back spot. Not only is the Ivorian much younger but he has done better this season for a worse side in Torino. He has a much higher ceiling than the Inter Milan star and seems like he has the attributes to thrive in the Premier League.
