Report: Inter Milan have opened talks to sign €100 million Spurs star

There is a lot of uncertainty surrounding Christian Eriksen’s future at Tottenham with the midfielder yet to put pen to paper on a new deal.

With Eriksen’s current contract with the club set to expire in the summer of 2020, the club could let the Dane leave in the summer if he doesn’t sign a new deal before that or risk him leaving North London on a free transfer.

The 27-year-old has been linked with moves to the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester United.

Italian publication Calciomercato report that Inter Milan have also reportedly begun talks over signing the Spurs midfielder in the summer.

The report claims that Inter’s director of football Piero Ausilio has held preliminary with Tottenham for Eriksen and that the midfielder will cost near the region of €100 million.

However, one would think that this move is unlikely to materialise with wages reportedly not being the sticking point to stopping the former Ajax man from signing an extension with Spurs.

So unless a move to the likes of Real Madrid or Barcelona comes to fruition for the Dane this summer, he will be likely to remain in North London.
