Report: Inter Milan make decision regarding Christian Eriksen

According to Don Balon (as relayed by Calcio Mercato), Inter Milan have decided to put Christian Eriksen up for sale during the January transfer window, nearly a year after he joined the club from Tottenham.

Eriksen was one of Tottenham’s best players for the majority of the six and a half years he spent in North London but the midfielder has struggled to replicate that form since his move to Italy.

The midfielder would have hoped to turn a corner after having a pre-season under his belt but that has not proven to be the case as he continues to struggle to hold down a regular place thein Antonio Conte’s side (transfermarkt.com).

The Denmark international admitted in a recent interview to Goal.com that he does not wish to sit on the bench for the rest of the season.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano previously revealed that Tottenham made an enquiry to re-sign the midfielder during the summer transfer window (Here We Go podcast).

Don Balon (via Calcio Mercato) now suggests the Nerrazuri are ready to sell Eriksen for the same €20million they paid to sign him from Spurs earlier this year.

The report suggests that the former Tottenham man could remain in Italy, with AC Milan, Lazio and Roma showing interest in his services.
