Report: Inter Milan name their asking price for Christian Eriksen

Inter Milan are reportedly willing to listen to offers of over £55million for the struggling Christian Eriksen after a difficult first season in Serie A for the Dane.

According to a report from MediaSet, Inter are more than willing to allow the playmaker to depart this summer if they receive a fair offer.

‘Christian is working, he’s trying to get into the mechanisms of the team and of a league that is much more tactical than in England,’ Conte told DAZN.

After paving the way for a move to Italy last season, Eriksen has failed to live up to the reputation he set for himself during his time at Spurs.

Conte has admitted Eriksen’s ‘shy’ personality is the reason behind his struggles in Italy since joining in the January transfer window.

‘He added: He’s a player with quality who is trying to improve, to be more aggressive when in pressing, which is what we are asking of him.

‘I’m pleased for him, but he has to keep working, just like the others. He is quite a shy lad who is settling into a new reality, a new type of football.

‘He’s a really good guy and didn’t arrive with any arrogance. At the same time, he must understand shyness is fine off the field.’

‘But he has to adapt and understand certain situations. He creates no problems, he wants to achieve important things with Inter.’

However, the Italian manager is hoping there is still more to come for his £16.9million signing with Eriksen ‘working’ to improve his form (Sky Sports).

The Dane has also struggled off the pitch during the lockdown period as he was forced to stay at the Inter training ground having not secured accommodation since making the switch to Italy (Evening Standard).

Spurs Web Opinion

Although his time at Spurs ended slightly sour, I wanted to see him return to his best at Inter. However, it has been nothing but a struggle for Eriksen who has found life in Italy difficult both on and off the pitch.
