Report: Inter Milan player’s agent set to fly to London for talks with Spurs and Arsenal

Inter Milan midfielder Ivan Perisic has been linked with a move to the Premier League for a number of months having nearly joined Manchester United only to turn down the opportunity (FourFourTwo).

The Croatian international has recently appointed a new agent, Nelio Lucas, who earlier this week held discussions with AC Milan, Juventus and current club Inter regarding the future of his client (FCInterNews).

Lucas is set to fly to London in the next few days and will apparently meet with North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal to discuss a possible switch to England with both clubs said to have held an interest in the 30-year-old according to the report.

Perisic was said to have handed in a transfer request at the Italian giants back in January in an attempt to push through a move to Arsenal after an approach to bring him to the Emirates on loan was rebuffed (Guardian).

Opinion

At 30, Perisic is in his prime but it remains to be seen whether Daniel Levy would be willing to spend big on a player where he would run the risk of not being able to re-sell on at a profit.
