Report: Inter Milan plot January move for Tottenham star

Tottenham Hotspur finally have clarity over their Premier League squad for the 2019/20 season, until the January transfer window at least.

The European summer window slammed shut on the second of September, meaning that Spurs can no longer lose any first-team stars until the new year.

The biggest worry for Spurs fans would have been a late sale of Christian Eriksen, the club’s chief playmaker. The next question is whether Tottenham can convince the Great Dane to sign a new deal.

If Eriksen does not put pen to paper on a contract that will extend the year he currently has left, the Express report that Inter Milan will come in for him in January.

The report states that Inter manager, Antonio Conte, is a keen admirer of the 27-year-old and wants to bring him to the San Siro.

If Eriksen does refuse a new deal, Spurs may have little choice but to sell up for a profit or else they will lose him on a free in the summer of 2020.
