Report: Inter Milan ready to sell Christian Eriksen just six-months after leaving Spurs

According to a report in Sports Mediaset (as relayed by Football Italia), Christian Eriksen could leave the San Siro this summer, just months after joining Inter Milan from Spurs.

The Nerazzurri signed Eriksen for a modest £16.9million fee in January as the midfielder only had six months to run on his contract with Tottenham.

However, the 28-year-old has failed to live up to expectations since completing his move to Italy and has struggled to impose himself in Serie A.

The Denmark international was benched during Inter’s 3-1 win over Torino on Monday and Antonio Conte warned after the game that the former Spurs star needed to improve if he is to be a hit in Italy.

Sports Mediaset claim that Eriksen is one of several players that Inter are ready to move on this summer as Conte looks to revamp his squad.

It is claimed that the midfielder could be available for €60m (£54.5m) when the transfer window opens.

Spurs Web Opinion

Given how poor Eriksen was during his last year or so at Spurs, I am not surprised that he has found it difficult to make an impact at Inter. However, class is permanent and I would not be surprised if the midfielder turns around his fortunes and goes on to become a key player for Antonio Conte’s side next season.
