Report: Inter Milan to charge up to £44.2m for Spurs target this summer

Calciomercato.it have claimed that while Inter Milan are open to cashing in on rumoured Tottenham target, Marcelo Brozovic, the Serie A club will not let the midfielder leave on the cheap.

Over the last few weeks, several Italian outlets have installed Spurs as the favourites to win the race for Brozovic’s signature in the summer (Inter Live).

Gazzetta dello Sport revealed two weeks ago that the North London club may face competition from Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona for the Croat while Corriere dello Sport (via CM), claimed last week that the 30-year-old would be available for just €30m (£26.4m).

However, this has now been contradicted by Calciomercato.it‘s latest report which says that although Inter are open to selling Brozovic, the Nerazzurri will only listen to offers starting at €40m-€50m (£35.7-£44.2m) for the player.

Interestingly, the report adds that Simone Inzaghi’s men will look to replace Brozovic with another Tottenham target in Franck Kessie, who they wish to sign on a loan deal with an option or obligation to buy.

The publication states that Inter expect competition from the Lilywhites for the Barcelona star.

Spurs Web Opinion

Between Brozovic and Kessie, I believe that Tottenham are much more likely to target the latter, given his age and his fit for the Premier League.

It is also quite possible that the Ivorian will end up costing much less than the Croat.
