Report: Inter Milan willing to sell first-team regular amid Tottenham interest

Calciomercato.it have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have expressed an interest in making a move for Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana ahead of the summer transfer window.

Onana only joined Inter last summer and is contracted to the club until 2027 but the goalkeeper’s future at Milan is already in doubt.

CalcioMeracto.it explain that the Nerazzurri are tempted to cash in on the goalkeeper this summer if they get a ‘mega’ offer on the table, given their need to raise funds and balance the books.

Tottenham have allegedly already expressed an interest in Onana while their London rivals, Chelsea, and La Liga giants Atletico Madrid are also reportedly keeping an eye on the former Ajax man’s situation.

The report asserts that Inter could give the green light for the 27-year-old’s sale if they receive an offer of around €35m-€40m (£30.9m-£35.3m) this summer.

In fact, Calciomercato.it suggest that the Italian club have already held discussions with potential replacements for Onana, including Empoli goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario.

Spurs Web Opinion

Onana for around £30m is a deal which represents great value for money as the Cameroonian is a good shot-stopper, commands the box and is also quite competent with the ball at his feet.

One would expect Tottenham to be keeping a close eye on the 27-year-old’s situation.
