Report: Italian club considering signing Tottenham and West Ham target

Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that Inter Milan are considering signing rumoured Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United target Wout Weghorst.

The Italian club have just sold their star striker Romelu Lukaku and despite already signing Edin Dzeko, they reportedly want to help replace the goals of the Belgian by also signing the Wolfsburg striker.

However, the Netherlands international has plenty of admirers in the Premier League. The Express reported in July that Tottenham had joined the race to lure Weghorst away from the Bundesliga.

Tottenham aren’t the only club to have expressed their interest in the striker – West Ham and Newcastle are two of the clubs who have also been linked for a move this transfer window.

It is clear to see why the striker is gaining interest throughout Europe: he has scored 65 goals in 122 games for the German club in all competitions (Transfermarkt).

Weghorst is a quality player, his stats speak for themselves. He should move on to play for a team that achieves Champions League football every season.

Kane’s replacement? We don’t know – but what we do know is how hard it will be to sign the striker with plenty of interest elsewhere.
