Report: Italian club emerge as favourites to land midfielder if Spurs want to sell

According to a report in the Daily Star, Inter Milan are now at the front of the queue for Tanguy Ndombele’s signature should the Spurs midfielder become available in the summer.

There has been a considerable amount of speculation regarding Ndombele’s future over the past two months but recent reports indicate that he is staying put in North London beyond the summer (PA Sport journalist Jonathan Veal).

The Daily Star’s report also confirms that Tottenham intend to keep hold of the Frenchman for now.

Despite the seemingly uneasy relationship between Jose Mourinho and the midfielder, they claim that the Spurs boss is committed to helping him adjust to the intensity of the Premier League.

However, should Mourinho lose patience with the midfielder, it is said that Inter are ready to pounce. Antonio Conte is reported to be a big fan of the former Lyon man and is keen on working with him at the San Siro.

It is also revealed that Napoli and Roma could make a move for the Spurs star if he becomes available.

Spurs Web Opinion

Most reports indicate that Inter Milan are one of the few clubs around Europe who will have a decent transfer kitty this summer. So, their interest in Ndombele might be concrete. It will be interesting to see if Ndombele plays regularly when the Premier League season is back. If he fails to make much of an impact, I still think it is a possibility that the club could move him on his when the transfer market opens.
