Report: Italian club open talks with Spurs-linked right-back

Fiorentina have moved to the front of the queue for Lille right-back Zeki Celik, according to Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.

Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Manchester United have all expressed an interest in the defender, who is valued at around £13million by the Ligue 1 champions (Evening Standard).

Celik is said to be prepared to listen to offers from the trio of Premier League clubs along with others across Europe.

It now appears that new Fiorentina boss Gennaro Gattuso is wasting no time in bolstering his defence by entering into talks with the Turkish international.

SpursWeb Opinion

The right-back position is likely to be an area of focus for Spurs this summer with Serge Aurier having expressed his desire to leave and is not prepared to sign a new deal with just twelve months left on his current contract (L’Equipe).

Football.London claimed that Spurs will quickly look to move to replace Aurier and our view that Celik would be an ideal replacement.
