Report: Italian giants weighing up £15m offer for Spurs defender

AC Milan are considering making an approach for Spurs defender Serge Aurier this month, according to Football.London.

The right back, who initially struggled to establish himself in the Spurs side since arriving from PSG, has been a regular in the team this season and has improved since the arrival of Jose Mourinho.

However, the 27-year-old has still put in some mixed displays for the Lilywhites this campaign and has come under criticism for some of his performances (Sky Sports).

Aurier was linked heavily with a move to Milan last summer (Calcio Mercato) and later revealed that he came close to leaving Tottenham (Bal des Productions).

The report by Football.London claims that the Rossoneri are now set to return for the Ivorian international this month and are ready to make a £15m offer for him.

However, the report suggests that Spurs are looking for closer to £25m for the defender and the Italian giants could be priced out of a move for him.

While the jury is still out on whether Aurier is our long term answer at right back, what is clear is that we cannot afford to let him go this month. Walker-Peters hasn’t shown that he is ready to start regularly and so the Ivorian is the only natural right back option we have at the moment.
