Report: Ivan Perisic slept at Hotspur Way last night ahead of medical today

According to Italian journalist Matteo Moretto, Ivan Perisic has now landed in London ahead of completing a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

Reports over recent days have indicated that Perisic and Fraser Forster are set to be Tottenham’s first two signings of the summer transfer window, with both players set to join the club on free transfers (Football Insider).

Fabrizio Romano indicated on Sunday that Perisic will have his medical at Spurs this week before penning a two-year contract with the club.

This was also backed up by Football.London’s Alasdair Gold, who revealed that the Croat is expected to pen a deal worth £98,000 a week with the North London club.

The journalist further added that Antonio Conte believes the 33-year-old will help improve the mentality of the Tottenham squad, particularly in big moments.

If Moretto’s latest social media post is to be believed, Perisic landed in London to complete his move to Spurs.

This has also been backed up by The Evening Standard’s Dan Kilpatrick, who claimed that the experienced wide-man slept at Hotspur Way overnight ahead of his scheduled medical on Monday.

Spurs Web Opinion

Signing Perisic on a free transfer would be an impressive start to the transfer window. I am particularly pleased with the speed at which this move has progressed as it indicates that Spurs wish to get their summer deals done early so that the incoming players can have a full pre-season.
