Report: Japhet Tanganga also has interest from two Premier League clubs

SportItalia journalist Gianluigi Longari has revealed that four clubs are battling it out for Japhet Tanganga’s signature this summer.

It was reported by talkSPORT earlier this week that Spurs are looking to loan out Tanganga and Joe Rodon, with Antonio Conte thought to be keen on adding further defensive reinforcements to his squad despite the arrival of Clement Lenglet.

Over the last few days, Tanganga has been linked with a move to AC Milan, with Sky Italia reporting that the defender’s representatives held a meeting with the Serie A club.

Gianluca Di Marzio subsequently reported on Thursday that the Rossoneri are ready to make first contact with Tottenham regarding the 23-year-old.

However, Longari has now taken to social media to reveal that Milan face competition from Napoli for the Spurs academy graduate, with Luciano Spalletti’s men said to be ‘closely following’ the centre-back’s situation.

Longari added that Everton and Southampton are also keen on signing Tanganga on loan. However, the journalist adds that the Tottenham man is seduced by the idea of moving to Italy.

I think it would be a mistake for Spurs to sell Tanganga as I believe he has the attributes to thrive on either side of Conte’s back three. A loan move to Italy could be ideal for the 23-year-old’s development as long as Spurs are confident that he will get regular game time.
