Report: Joe Hart suffers embarassing blunder with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

In a recent video posted to the Tottenham Hotspur YouTube account, Joe Hart suffered an embarrassing series of blunders revolving around Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

The group of Hart, Hojbjerg, Gareth Bale and Matt Doherty were called in to play a game of word association.

Host Smithy read out a word or phrase and the Spurs lads had to write down a word that they associated with it on their whiteboards.

When ‘Danish Pastries’ was read out, Joe Hart was quick to jot something down on his board, eventually revealing it to say ‘Piere’ – nodding to the fact that Hojbjerg is Danish.

Unfortunately, Hart missed out one of the R’s in Pierre’s name, which was pointed out and mocked by his teammates.

Hart replied: “I don’t know how to spell Hojbjerg, I don’t know how to spell Pierre.”

To return the joke, Hojbjerg swiftly wrote down ‘Jo Hard’ on his own board.

Hart laughed the moment off before digging himself further into a hole with his next statement: “I deserved that Pierre, It is incredibly easy Joe Hart. Pierre-Emmanuel Hojbjerg though.”

Bale was quick to point out that the shot-stopped had not only spelt Hojbjerg’s name wrong, but also forgotten it completely.

The Welshman said: “Emmanuel! He’s Emmanueled you off! It’s Emile!”

Hart added: “Emile, sorry, sorry, that’s what I mean. There you go, way off it!”

Not the former England number one’s finest moment!
