Report: Joe Rodon’s Tottenham stats from his full debut against Chelsea

Tottenham Hotspur’s Joe Rodon was finally given the chance to make his full debut today against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, with Mourinho throwing him in at the deep end.

The Special One has previous with this, when he handed Japhet Tanganga his Premier League debut against Liverpool last season.

Unfortunately, because Rodon was signed from Swansea after the Europa League squad deadline, Spurs were unable to add the young Welshman to their roster.

As such, he has been unable to rack up many minutes since joining the Lilywhites at the end of the summer domestic transfer window.

However, he was handed a start today and repaid the faith shown in him by seeing out a clean sheet, despite a nervy moment right at the end of the match when his header back to Lloris pulled up short.

Let’s take a look at his stats from today (WhoScored):

Interceptions – 2

Clearances – 4

Blocked shots – 1

Aerial duels won – 1

Touches of the ball – 58

Fouls given away – 0

Fouls won – 2

Passes – 48

Pass percentage – 83.3%

Accurate long balls – 3
