Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Tottenham’s technical director Johan Lange was in attendance at Genoa’s clash against Juventus last week to watch Radu Dragusin in action.
Dragusin was arguably Genoa’s best player in Serie B last season and the centre-back has seamlessly made the transition to the Italian top flight after helping the club win promotion.
Last weekend, he put in another fine performance against Juve as Genoa played out a 1-1 draw, demonstrating to his former employers why they were wrong to let him go.
It has been widely reported by various outlets over the last week that the 21-year-old is one of the centre-backs at the top of Tottenham’s wishlist in January (The Athletic).
TuttoMercatoWeb even suggested on Wednesday that Spurs ‘have an offer ready’ for the Romanian international, who is allegedly valued by Genoa at €30m (£26m).
Radu Dragusin remains on Spurs’ radar
Romano has now revealed that Lange had travelled to Italy last week and was in attendance at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris to run the rule over Dragusin.
The journalist added Nice’s Jean-Clair Todibo remains a higher priority on Tottenham’s defensive transfer shortlist and the North Londoners are yet to make a formal approach to Genola for Dragusin.

No formal approach to Genoa yet but Spurs keep close eye on Dragusin.

Spurs Web Opinion
It is interesting to see that Lange himself made the trip rather than sending one of Tottenham’s scouts. That suggests that the Romanian ranks fairly high on Spurs’ wishlist and the Dane wanted to perhaps make final assessments about the 21-year-old ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
