Report: Jose Mourinho is demanding that Spurs bring in £90m centre-back

If Jose Mourinho doesn’t have a problem at centre-back at the moment, then he certainly will in the space of a few months.

Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen are both currently set to leave the club on free transfers in the summer as their contracts tick towards a close.

Both Belgians can speak to non-English clubs in January and English clubs at the end of the season about a free move.

Highly-rated academy prospect, Japhet Tanganga, is also in the final year of his contract in North London.

Mourinho’s side kept their first clean sheet under the manager yesterday against Burnley, conceding two per game in the four matches before that.

However, Eldesmarque have now reported that Mourinho is demanding that Spurs bring in Napoli ace, Kalidou Koulibaly as a replacement defender.

The Times report that the centre-back is worth a whopping £90m in the current market.

What a signing that would be for Spurs and Mourinho.
