Report: Journalist claims Eriksen’s agent is about to open transfer talks

Christian Eriksen’s future at Tottenham Hotspur continues to be up in the air.

Inter Milan chief executive Giuseppe Marotta confirmed earlier this week that they are interested in the Spurs playmaker but said they have had no discussions with the North London club yet (TMW).

Eriksen revealed just days after the Champions League final defeat to Liverpool in June that he wanted to seek a new challenge away from North London whilst inviting interest from Real Madrid (Ekstra Bladet).

A move to the Spanish capital failed to materialise and he still finds himself at Tottenham.

The 27-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and is able to hold talks with clubs on the continent during the current transfer window.

Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano has taken to Twitter to claim that Eriksen’s agent is on his way to Italy to meet with Inter club officials over a move to the Serie A giants which will see him walk away from Spurs as a free agent in the summer.
