Report: Journalist claims Spurs have agreed terms with transfer target

Tottenham Hotspur have agreed personal terms with Bruno Fernandes over a possible move to the club, according to a respected Portuguese football journalist.

Goncalo Lopes revealed on his Twitter account that the midfielder and his agent have come to an agreement with Spurs, however there is still a major stumbling block which is holding up a move.

Lopes claims that whilst personal terms have been agreed, Spurs are still yet to reach a deal with Sporting Lisbon.

Spurs are said to have tabled an offer of €50million plus an additional €10million in bonuses, while Sporting want at least €70million for their prolific midfielder.

Fernandes was back in action for Sporting on Sunday during their humiliating 5-0 defeat to fierce rivals Benfica in the Portuguese Super Cup final which saw the 24-year-old left in tears on the pitch for the second time in as many matches after the final whistle (Metro).

Spurs will certainly have to increase the intensity of their negotiations with their respective transfer targets considering the fact that the transfer window closes at 5pm on Thursday.
