Report: Journalist claims Spurs target says yes to Tottenham move this summer

Unfortunately for Tottenham, they could be set to lose their star centre-back, Toby Alderweireld, this summer.

The Belgian brick wall has a £25m buyout clause in his contract after Spurs extended his deal by an extra year back in early 2019 (Guardian).

Sky Sports claim that Roma are in talks with Tottenham over taking the defender this summer, although reports indicate that they only value him at £18m (Calcio Mercato).

With Tottenham destined to either lose Toby for a small fee this summer or on a free next year, it seems sensible to try and get something in return.

Reports indicate that Tottenham are now readying a bid of £36m plus Alderweireld for Roma winger, Nicolo Zaniolo (Calcio Mercato).

Football journalist, Alfredo Pedulla, has now updated fans on the situation, claiming that Zaniolo has said yes to the potential move and Spurs’ total package offer is rated at €50m.

He adds that it could now come down to whether Juventus come in with their own offer, but Football London seem confident that the player is now very open to a North London move.
