It was reported on Tuesday that Tottenham Hotspur had reached a deal in principle with Southampton for the transfer of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (Sky Sports).
The Danish international looked set to be close to a move to North London after a fee of around £15million was agreed between both clubs with just bonuses and payment structures to be agreed.
Radio Solent’s sports editor, Adam Blackmore claimed that there has been a fresh twist in the transfer saga with Tottenham still said to be some way off Southampton’s valuation and has questioned the earlier reports of a fee being agreed between both clubs.
Blackmore insists that Hojbjerg will not be allowed to leave the Saints unless Tottenham get close to their valuation of the midfielder.
#saintsfc #thfc Not sure who from Spurs is briefing some on this …
BUT neither deal is done
Spurs are not close to Saints valuation of PEH, and he won’t be moving there unless they get close
Obviously that situation is not helping KWP deal coming the other way currently https://t.co/NXLHddzYBI

The 25-year-old was previously the subject of a £25million offer from Everton which was accepted by the south coast outfit with Hojbjerg having travelled to Merseyside to visit their Finch Farm training complex to discuss personal terms (Daily Echo).
However, the former Bayern Munich player is said to have his heart set on a move to Jose Mourinho’s side (Liverpool Echo).
