Report: Journalist reveals the Tottenham’s ‘firm’ stance on midfielder

There has been much speculation regarding Tanguy Ndombele’s future over the last few weeks but PA Sport journalist Jonathan Veal has now squashed that rumoured speculation by revealing that Tottenham are determined to hold on to the midfielder.

Ndombele has failed to hit the expected heights in North London since Spurs shattered their transfer record to sign him from Lyon last summer.

Initial reports were suggesting that Spurs were willing to move the Frenchman on this summer (Football Insider) but other reports have since claimed that the club remain confident that the former Lyon man can come good next season (Mirror).

Bleacher Report reported last week that Tottenham’s coaching staff still have major concerns over Ndombele’s attitude and that the club were attempting to find a buyer for the French international.

Foot Mercato even claimed the Spurs midfielder could join Liverpool on loan next season.

However, Veal has taken to social media to reveal that Spurs are not interested in either selling or loaning Ndombele.

Something tells me that this saga might drag on and on all summer. One would think Jose Mourinho wouldn’t have a personal training session with Ndombele if he wasn’t planning on keeping him around. However, it is understandable if Spurs are willing to sell him if they can recoup the money they paid for him last summer, particularly given the current financial constraints.
