Report: Juventus close to beating PSG in race for Spurs player

Juventus have strengthened their defence considerably this summer by acquiring the likes of Matthijs de Ligt, Cristian Romero, Luca Pellegrini, and Merih Demiral but it looks like they aren’t done just yet.

According to a report in The Sun, the Serie A Champions are now close to securing a deal with Spurs that will see Danny Rose move to Turin this summer.

The report claims that Juventus have now sneaked in front of PSG in the race for the Tottenham full back.

It is suggested that new Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri, who took charge of his side for the first time in yesterday’s 3-2 friendly defeat to Spurs is keen to add the England international to his squad as he feels he needs more cover at left back.

The report also suggests that Schalke and Newcastle are still tracking with the Spurs defender.

The Daily Mail claim that Spurs are confident of snapping up Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon for around £25m in the coming days. The 19-year-old is said to be the club’s preferred choice to replace Rose.

Danny Rose proved with his performances towards the end of last season that he was getting back to his best. While it will be a shame to lose him, Rose is clearly too good for the likes of Newcastle or Schalke. We believe Rose has the talent to shine at Juventus.
