Report: Juventus could offer alleged Spurs target to PL rival in swap deal

CMW.it have now revealed that rumoured Tottenham target Adrien Rabiot could be offered to Manchester United in January.

Rabiot, whose current deal at Juventus is set to run out at the end of this season (Transfermarkt), has been heavily linked with a move to Spurs over recent weeks.

The print edition of Corriere dello Sport (21/12/22 as relayed by Sport Witness) reported last week that Spurs were the frontrunners to snap up the France international.

The Times then reported a few days ago that Antonio Conte’s men were looking to sign the 27-year-old in January and that the player’s agent had offered him to the Lilywhites as well as their North London rivals Arsenal.

The report revealed that it would take an offer of around £13.5m to lure the midfielder away from the Allianz Arena next month.

However, CMW.it have now suggested that Rabiot could end up at Man Utd as one of the Red Devils’ stars is on Juve’s radar. It is explained that the Old Lady are eyeing Diogo Dalot as the ‘perfect heir’ to Cuadrado at right-back.

The publication asserts that Rabiot is not going to sign a new contract with the Serie A giants, and Massimiliano Allegri’s men could offer the former PSG man to United next month in a direct swap deal for Dalot.

Spurs Web Opinion

Despite some Italy publications naming Spurs as the most likely destination for Rabiot in January, I am not convinced that the Frenchman will be near the top of Conte’s and Paratici’s wishlists.

Conte will likely want the club to prioritise a move for an attacking midfielder such as McKennie. Having said that, perhaps, the Spurs head coach and managing director will view the opportunity to sign a player of Rabiot’s quality for a cut-price fee as too good to miss out on.
