Report: Juventus could reignite old interest in Tottenham midfielder

Juventus have reignited their interest in Tottenham midfielder Giovani Lo Celso, according to CalcioMercatoWeb.

The report notes the Bianconeri are now keeping tabs on the Argentina international, 26, having approached him about a move to Turin in the past.

It is also explained Juventus could open talks with Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici to get the ball rolling on a transfer for the Argentine, who is valued between €20 million (£17.6m) and €25 million (£21.6m).

Lo Celso has struggled to move forward during his time at Spurs since joining the club three years ago from Spanish club Real Betis.

He was sent out on loan to Villarreal for the second half of last season and managed to star for Unai Emery’s side during their run to the Champions League semi-final.

Contracted with Spurs until the summer of 2025, Lo Celso has scored eight goals and laid on six assists for the club (Transfermarkt).

Spurs Web Opinion

Juventus would actually be a pretty decent fit for Lo Celso as the Italian league is less of a fast pace than the Premier League. Spurs will have probably realised that he doesn’t suit the club so will likely have that factor in when making a transfer decision this summer.
