Report: Juventus identify Vlahovic alternative amidst Tottenham links

In what could come as a potential boost for Tottenham in their pursuit of Dusan Vlahvoic, CalcioMercato have revealed that Juventus have identified a potential alternative to the Fiorentina star.

Antonio Conte has reportedly asked Tottenham to snap up Vlahovic in January. Sources indicate that Fiorentina would like to cash in on the 21-year-old when the transfer market reopens as the Serie A club do not expect the striker to renew his contract.

TuttoJuve previously claimed that Juventus were worried they could be pipped by Spurs to the signing of the centre-forward after Conte’s arrival in North London.

Some publications even asserted that Fiorentina would prefer to sell the striker to Spurs over the Old Lady.

Gazzetta dello Sport then reported last week that Massimiliano Allegri’s side had made an opening offer of €50m (£42.3m) for the Viola star.

However, if CalcioMercato’s latest update is to be believed, the Old Lady have identified Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic as an alternative to the Fiorentina man.

It is explained that the Serie A giants could make a move for Mitrovic in January if they find a deal for his compatriot difficult to pull off.

Just because Juve have alternatives in mind for Vlahvoic, does not mean that they expect to lose out on the Fiorentina star. I still believe that the Allianz Stadium is likely to be Vlahovic’s next destination, whether he moves in January or next summer.
