Juventus are reportedly close to reaching an agreement with Barcelona to sign Arthur Melo, who has also been linked with a move to Tottenham.
Mundo Deportivo reported last week that Tottenham had ‘moved resolutely’ to try and sign the Brazilian international and were facing competition from Inter Milan for his signature.
However, Marca (via Sport Witness) claimed on Saturday that Arthur is keen to stay at Barcelona and fight for his place.
Mundo Deportivo now claim that Juventus and Barcelona are in an advanced stage of talks to take the Brazilian to Italy..
The report claims that Maurizio Sarri has identified Arthur as the man to help fulfil his tactical setup at the Allianz Stadium next season and Juve are ready to offer the Barca star a substantial pay rise to convince him to come to Turin.

I believe we should prioritise a move for a defensive midfielder over a creative one this summer. However, if there is any chance at all that we can get Arthur, we should do everything we possibly can to sign him, including offering Ndombele. Arthur is a generational talent who I believe has the potential to evolve into one of the best midfielders in the world under the right system.
