Report: Juventus in talks with Spurs midfielder

Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen’s future seems to be up in the air at the moment with the club not being able to get the Dane to agree on a contract extension.

With his current contract with Spurs coming to an end in the summer of 2020, the club could be forced to let him go at the end of the season if they don’t wish to risk letting his contract run into its final year.

Eriksen has been linked with the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona in recent months, and Tottenham are reported to be identifying potential replacements for the playmaker if he leaves in the summer, with Leicester City’s James Maddison being among the players linked with a move to Spurs as a. Italian publication Calcio Mercato now report that Juventus are also interested in adding the Dane to their squad in the summer.

The report claims that the Italian giants have been in talks with the player’s entourage and are considering bidding for the former Ajax man in the summer.

If the reports are to be believed, even if the 27-year-old has made up his mind to leave Tottenham, the club can certainly pocket a healthy amount by initiating a bidding war for the midfielder.
